The Complete Nail Specialist Technicians Course
Enhance the appearance of nails using artificial systems & relevant
products including, Acrylic, gels, powder gels and wrap systems.

This is a comprehensive intense course designed to train students to provide all expert nail enhancements using artificial nails and including all '5 Nail Systems' Acrylic, gel, powder gel, fibre glass and silk.

Week 1

Full Salon Health & Safety. Methods used to sterilise and sanitise salon tools and equipment. Skin diseases and disorders, function and structure of the skin and nail. Relevant A&P of arms and legs including blood circulation, the effects of massage on nails, skin and muscles. Consultation and contra-indications to skin and nail disorders, chemical reactions. Different types of nail shapes, treatment preparation and trolley set up. Natural nail preparation. Full demonstrations and techniques to applying artificial nails correctly (Nail tip application and blending techniques including finishing techniques. All relevant tools, equipment, products, materials and their use. Practice sessions for students to apply artificial nails and correct blending and finishing techniques. Correct application of clear and French gel on natural and artificial nails. Client aftercare & homecare advice.

Week 2

(Mini assessment on previous week), the importance of regular maintenance of natural nail and artificial nail treatments, the importance of primers, protecting artificial nails and dealing with clients accidental damage to nails. Repeat demonstrations and techniques to applying artificial nails correctly and correct applications of applying clear and French powder gels to natural and artificial nails and finishing techniques. Practice session for students to perform correct tip applications and blending, correct procedure of applying powder gel in clear and French on natural and artificial nails. Client aftercare & homecare advice.

Week 3

(Mini assessment on previous week), Repeat full demonstrations and techniques to applying artificial nails and blending correctly. Correct applications of wrap systems, (fibre glass and silk), and finishing techniques. Practice session for students to perform correct tip applications and blending, correct application of fibre glass and silk. Client aftercare & homecare advice.

Week 4

(Mini Assessment on previous week). Acrylic application including pink and white, applying French tips and clear tips for a different look. Full demonstration to for acrylic application including white and pink. Practice sessions for students to correctly apply acrylic and tips.

Week 5

(Mini Assessment on previous week). Full demonstrations to contra-actions, infills, maintenance and repair of all five systems on the natural and artificial nails. Troubleshooting on any aspects to meet the needs of each individual student. Practice session for students to perform infills, maintenance and troubleshooting on all 5 systems. Client aftercare & homecare advice.

Week 6

(Mini Assessment on previous week). Full demonstrations to sculpting nails, using free forms to create beautiful nails without the use of tip application, using sculpture forms. All relevant tools, equipment and products. Practice sessions for students perform sculpting techniques. Week 6 gives you an opportunity to practice the treatments you have learned and any treatments which you feel needs that extra attention to give you the confidence needed to practice these treatments in the industry.

We believe that to be a 'Complete Specialist Nail Technician' any course offered cannot be rushed. Anything less than our 6 day course would not give the time needed to be able to digest all the skills needed to be the best at this discipline. Over the six day period you will be able to take on board all the information that is needed to gain the most benefit in what is a very intense and thorough course. In order to achieve excellence in these very demanding skills, it is essential that as much training as is possible is gained. Only by doing this will you achieve a high standard of the skills that will set you above the rest of the competition in what is a very competitive area of this industry.

This course requires - 60 hours home study and to complete 3 case studies.
