VTCT Courses FAQs
Information on globally recognised, government-regulated NVQ diplomas, detailing how continuous assessments help you secure premium employment and insurance.
VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust) and iTEC are government-approved awarding bodies that offer highly respected qualifications. These qualifications are formally mapped to national occupational standards, making them globally recognised and highly valued by employers.
VTCT qualifications use a system of continuous assessment, and you will be assessed on your practical skills through tutor observations at the academy, and your theoretical knowledge will be graded through a portfolio of evidence, assignments, and short workbook queries. Some VTCT courses include an examination as part of the qualification. Where required, this is normally a multiple-choice exam completed as part of your course assessment.
Yes. Because VTCT qualifications are fully regulated on the national framework, they are highly regarded across the international beauty and spa industries. This makes them the ideal choice if you intend to travel, work abroad, or secure roles on cruise ships and luxury international resorts.
Our fast-track structure condenses the classroom hours into intensive, highly focused practical blocks. This allows you to learn the vital hands-on skills quickly at the academy, combined with structured home study and case studies that you complete at your own pace to build your final portfolio.
Yes, VTCT qualifications are recognised by major UK insurance providers and employers across the industry. Because VTCT Level 2, 3, and 4 qualifications meet official UK regulated standards, they help satisfy the criteria required by insurers to secure professional public liability cover. These qualifications also demonstrate the accredited training that top salons, aesthetic clinics, and luxury spas look for when hiring staff.
