Completing a course and gaining the relevant qualifications enables your clients to place their trust in you to provide them with treatment. The courses we provide can be intense, but you can be sure that they will give you a thorough understanding so you can gain as much training as possible over the time. The result is that, not only will you have the certificate to prove your qualification, but you will achieve the highest standard of the required skills to deliver a truly professional service to your clients, putting you heads and shoulders above the competition.
Beauty Therapy Specialist Certificate in A&P and Swedish Body Massage
The main course we offer in holistic beauty therapy is the specialist certificate in A&P and Swedish Body Massage. This is an intense course that will enable you to perform Swedish body massage treatments to expert standards. You will be able to use this knowledge and the practical skills to work within the beauty industry, independently or as a mobile therapist. As a result, you will be able to gain licensing through the local council or government.
For this course, there is no prior experience necessary, and you need to be able to commit one full day a week across three weeks (from 9.30am – 4.30pm, though there is some flexibility on this). You will be required to complete 20 hours of study at home and learner checklists. The cost of the course is £795, which covers the training manual, step-by-step treatment procedure, and other additional materials.
This course covers three weeks and can be broken down into the first week covering health and safety, the second week assessing your knowledge on what you have learned previously, building on that knowledge to them complete a final assessment in the third week. The first week covers areas including sterilising and sanitising salon tools and equipment and how to carry out consultations with clients, including an overview of skin problems, and the body. We will cover massage positioning, different techniques and aftercare advice. In the second week, we will build on this by looking at specific products, including oils and aromatherapy products and their therapeutic effects emotionally and physically, as well as how they work on different skin types. From the first week’s focus on arms and legs, this week looks at back, neck and shoulder massage. The final week combines everything you have learnt, working up to performing a full body treatment.
